The Illinois Farm Bureau grant and co-op applications will be broken down into four different buckets based on content and timing of the grant programs. Applied for Grants - Cory Yontz -  Review of a counties complete audited or reviewed financial statements for the past five years plus any significant current or future performance incomes or expenses.

Illinois Ag in the Classroom County Coalition Grant - Kevin Daugherty - This grant goes to support Ag Coordinators at the county level where funds can be used for physical donations, salary, project work, and more. Coordinators can be sponsored by IFB, SWCD, Extension, county volunteers, or the counties.

Annual Grants

  • Farm Safety Grant - Donna Gallivan - Supports projects specific to farm safety education, accident prevention, or rescue with an extra incentive for programs addressing mental health. Credit must be given to both IFB and COUNTRY financial.
  • Nutrient Stewardship Grant - Amelia Cheek or Eric Gerth - This program funds County Farm Bureau (CFB) projects focused on improving soil health and water quality throughout the state to help implement the Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy (NLRS).
  • Pollinator Conservation Grant - Amelia Cheek or Eric Gerth - Focused on several pollinator and Monarch Butterfly initiatives, this grant supports CFB creativities such as community seed sales, pollinator gardens and plots, and more.

Multiple Application & Awarded Grants - Apply for each individual grant below

  • Consumer Engagement Grant - Jacey Yahne - To fund projects, programs, and activities that facilitate one-on-one engagement opportunities between adult non-ag consumers and farmers with the goal of building trust in farmers and our farming practices.
  • Tangible Member Benefits Cost Share - Stephanie Knittel - The intent of this program is to help increase awareness and utilization of the tangible benefits available to our members.
  • Advantage Cost Share - Renee Scholl This program provides counties a cost share to promote the Illinois and County Farm Bureau advantage of advocacy, information, and development to their members. 
  • Regional Ad Groups Co-Op - Renee Scholl The Regional Ad Group program remains the same but will now be included in the OpenWaters system to better track our marketing and financial efforts.

Harvest for All Mini Grant - Perry Harlow The Harvest for All Mini Grant Program is designed to support County Farm Bureau Young Leader/Farmer Committees and Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters in implementing and executing impactful service projects. The program places a strong emphasis on projects that address food insecurity, while still allowing flexibility for other meaningful community service initiatives
